  • Jed, a Nashville native and graduate of Montgomery Bell Academy, joined Gideon, Essary, Tardio & Carter in 2018. He graduated from the University of Virginia cum laude in 2009 and the University of Tennessee College of Law magna cum laude in 2013. He is admitted to practice before all Tennessee state courts and the U.S. District Courts for the Middle and Eastern Districts of Tennessee. In law school, Jed served as Executive Editor of Tennessee Law Review, clerked for Knox County Judge Mary Beth Leibowitz, and interned in the United States Congress. After law school, Jed clerked for Davidson County Circuit Court Judge Kelvin Jones and practiced for several years in Nashville for an insurance defense firm before joining GETC. Jed's practice focuses on defending doctors, nurses, and hospitals in health care liability and premises liability actions and representing doctors before the Board of Medical Examiners. Jed, whose father is a retired cardiologist, considers it a privilege to represent health care professionals. Jed and his wife, Mattie, reside in Nashville. In their spare time, they enjoy cheering on the Tennessee Titans and Nashville Predators, and whenever the opportunity arises, hiking and skiing in Crested Butte, Colorado.
